CMA’s home on Irma Avenue in Port Washington has been a group residence for 28 years. A total of 10 individuals call Irma home – plus there are CMA staff who make sure the home is staffed 24/7. The house members cook meals daily and the kitchen, as it is in most homes, is the heart of the home. Irma was last updated in 1999. There’s significant wear and tear on the home overall and CMA anticipates a complete renovation of the residence will cost $200,000. We are in the process of securing additional funds to cover those expenses.
In November 2015, in conjunction with CMA’s annual gala, A Celebration of Independence, CMA launched a fundraising campaign dedicated to the renovation of the Irma residence.
